In The Five Love Languages for Singles by Gary Chapman I read an excerpt from a book that Gary suggested. I read that it is a good idea to choose a word of the year to describe what the year in front of you will mean to you. You should think long and hard for a single word representing the next year that will serve as a guidepost for you.
There is really not much to say, just pick a word. Mine were:
After I got inspired I decided to choose my word of the year for the rest of 2019 and the first half of 2020. The word is: learn! I aim to study as much as possible in this period: both self development but also professional development.
The second w.o.t.y. in this list for the second part of 2020 and first part of 2021 is progress! In all areas ranging from plans, house improvements, self development and acquiring new skills.
Now thinking back the first word of the year, learn, inspired me deeply. I read over 12 self development books and got 2 SCRUM certifications. Not to mentioned what I learned at my jobs. So I learned a lot. The word of the year is truly inspirational.
